While many other RE protagonists are trained professionals, Ethan begins his journey as a simple man in search of his missing wife, making all the feats he has accomplished that much more admirable. However, before Ethan had his chance to solidify his place among the rest of the beloved RE cast, it was revealed by RE8 that he actually had been dead all along. In a heartbreaking twist, Eveline reveals to Ethan that he is one with the mold found in RE7 and that he had been “dead” for most of the two RE titles he starred
Although Call of Duty ‘s newest update has been a hit with many fans, Modern Warfare 3 Zombies fans haven’t been so enthusiastic . Despite Season 2 having a zombie theme, it added no content to Zombies at launch, although it does plan to add some with a mid-season upd
Liquidators is a first-person, atmospheric horror game with pixelated graphics but an extreme amount of attention directed towards historical authenticity. The game centers around the three brave divers who were sent on what was believed to be a suicide mission in an attempt to drain the steam suppression pools beneath the fourth reactor build
Aerith’s sudden death at the end of the first disc of Final Fantasy 7 was a core memory (albeit, not a happy one) for many long-time gamers. Aerith wasn’t just a background character, she was part of Cloud’s main crew and even served as a playable character, making her death not only affect players’ hearts but also their part
Killing off fan favorites isn’t exactly a new concept and shouldn’t be a complete surprise, but every now and then, a beloved character unceremoniously meets their end right when the game’s events seem to have just gotten started. Here are some fan-favorite video FPS game weapons characters that managed to win over everyone’s hearts despite the short time they had in the spotli
Once Fang approaches, board the helicopter with Dr. Jansen and head back to Operation Deadbolt headquarters . As the helicopter flies away, the story cutscene will begin, and players will complete the Extraction mission. Be sure to watch the entire cutscene (unfortunately, there is no way for players to skip the cutscene), if players back out while the cutscene is playing it will count as leaving the game and players will not get successful exfil credit , and will lose all weapons, items, and gear. Allow the cutscene to play, and once complete players will be taken to the mission report screen and lock in all the rewards earned from completing the Extraction miss
Fans were ecstatic to see Grey Fox return once again, still alive and (maybe not so) well, in the first installment of the Metal Gear Solid series. While this new cybernetic version of Grey Fox was by far the most popular, it was also when he had suffered the most. Grey Fox unfortunately only had a single game to show off his new gear, as he then meets his demise at the hands of Liquid Snake and Metal Gear REX near the end of the very first MG
After loading into the story mission area, players will need to navigate through the Terminus Outcomes army to access the communications relay, providing players with coordinates for Dr. Jansen and her lab. Exit the helicopter and drop off the rooftops to the right . If players head outside the concrete wall of the compound, they can easily make it to the fire station where the comms tower is located. Take the tunnel under the railroad tracks, cross the road, and clear out the first floor of the first station before jumping in through one of the wind
Once the area is safe, head to the middle of the search area provided on the mini-map and look for a red walkway ramping down . If players follow this road Dr. Jansen can be found inside her lab, behind some glass windows. Dr. Jansen will be in the process of deleting copies of her work, asking players to hold the area for a few moments until she can complete the deletion. Players will have to survive for roughly 90 seconds while mercenaries storm Dr. Jansen’s lab to try and stop her, similar to the Defend Ground Station contracts in Urzikstan. As there is not much local cover, try to avoid shooting zombies when possible as the undead make great distractions against the mercenar
In its report, Wired claims that MW3 ‘s Yokai’s Wrath bundle from last December was made with generative AI . It’s not clear which part of the bundle was supposedly made with AI, as the kit includes several elements, such as an Operator skin and weapon blueprint. The skin was sold for $15 USD in MW3 ‘s in-game store, which makes no mention of it being made with generative AI. Wired’s report also claims that Activision’s 2D artists are being “forced” to use AI, following mass layoffs within these te
For all the criticism it receives, Call of Duty is an undeniably huge franchise, arguably the most significant and popular franchise in the gaming market. There’s a real fear that if Call of Duty can ‘get away’ with selling an AI-generated skin, then any franchise, big or small, can do the same. A world where art of any kind is being increasingly developed with generative AI, which is trained on the work of real, human artists, is a worrying prospect, both for those that make art and those that consume it. This is why the Call of Duty AI reports are concerning: it could set a bad precedent, and it’s indicative of the ever-encroaching threat of technology replacing human work, making less compelling art in the proc
