Novinsky Boulevard (known as Novinsky Val and Novinskoye Gulyaniye before 1877, and as Chaikovsky Street from 1940 to 1990) is a street in the Central Administrative Okrug of Moscow, forming a section of the Garden Ring. The street was originally called Novinsky Val after the Vvedensky Bogoroditsky Monastery, also known as the Novinsky Monastery (founded in 1410, abolished in 1764). After the boulevard was laid out in the mid-19th century, the name was changed to Novinsky Boulevard.
