‘Kick-Ass’ Director Talks Pretty Violence and Pigtailed Hit Girls

Movies worth noting that are missing from that top 10 list include The Happening (huge stinker for Shyamalan), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (couldn’t bring myself to watch it), 10,000 B.C. (do I even need to comment on this one?), Speed Racer (LSD trip for kids), and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (too niche, I suppo

Featuring an abundance of well-known voice talent and a hilarious plot, this film looks like fun for all. Along with Disney’s Up we expect a pair of solid animated films next year. I’ll also be seeing this one in

“The film breaks a lot of taboos, and has certain elements that, if you’re a studio executive, might make you think, “Why in the hell would we make a film like this?” One thing I don’t think anyone got from the script was how humorous and fun it is…. They were like, “Is it a gangster film, is it a comedy? What is this? We don’t get it! We’re not making it!” So we thought “Fair enough. Screw you guys, we’re going to go off and make

Matthew Vaughn ( Layer Cake , Stardust ) recently spoke to Ain’t It Cool News about his upcoming adaptation of the ultra-violent teen superhero comic book, Kick-Ass . The first ever footage of the movie will be shown during Comic-Con this year, but Vaughn has let out some details about the movie a few weeks in adva

2008 delivered the kind of summer that superhero and action movie geeks dream of – this is the year that brought us three bonafide superhero movie games DLC|https://superheromoviespot.com/ movies: Iron Man , The Incredible Hulk and what was that third one… oh yeah: The Dark Knig

Synopsis: In this re-imagining of the classic 80s TV series, a group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime they were framed

Most importantly, Robert Downey Jr. provides a second act to his performance as Sgt. Lincoln Osiris that puts the This Is Spinal Tap commentary in the gutter. Downey constantly refers to situations on set as the actor playing the dude disguised as the other dude, staying true to that acting dude’s in-movie remark that he doesn’t drop character until after the DVD comment

“Hi, I’m Zach Snyder, director of Watchmen, and I wanted to welcome you to this ultimate movie experience on Blu-ray. Some of the things you’re going to see are director walk-ons like this, picture-in-picture video with perspective on the film from cast and crew, as well as comic comparisons where we compare frames from the graphic novel to frames from the movie. There’s also a timeline that shows the difference between our world and the Watchmen world. Oh yeah, there’s focus point video, which is super cool and stills galleries with behind the scenes images and artwork, plus you can also see my storyboards. So all that’s left for you to do now is sit back and enjoy

Vic is looking forward to the fourth installment to the Terminator franchise and has confidence that McG will do a good job. He’s also hoping that Up will make up for his disappointment with Wall-E . On the other hand, Vic is also anticipating the Wolverine -centric movie but is not sure if it will be that g

Synopsis: Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, and directed by Oscar-winner Peter Jackson, The Lovely Bones centers on a young girl (Saoirse Ronan) who has been murdered and watches over her family and her killer from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to h

One big suprise in the above list is Pixar’s Wall-E : I’m really shocked that the R-rating-pushing, PG-13 and mediocre (according to most critics) Hancock actually beat the family friendly Pixar film. Also surprising is that Kung Fu Panda made almost as much as the Wall-E . It looks like despite the universally rave reviews for Wall-E , that the overly message-heavy plot of the movie wasn’t as much of a winner with families as other of their films like The Incredibles and Finding Nemo . Heck, even Cars (considered by many to be Pixar’s weakest film) made more money than Wall-E at the box off

Also, despite the “cool factor,” Wanted didn’t manage to beat underdog summer flick The Incredible Hulk . I guess more people thought it was ridiculous ( as I did ) than thought it was “awesome, dude!”. However superhero movie fans across the land can weep in unison at the fact that Hulk was not able to defeat three hip, New York City powershopping babes on the prowl for true l

The Dark Knight was this summer’s box office juggernaut, and no doubt will be the year’s biggest earner. The big surprise of the summer (and the film that kicked it all off) is Iron Man , which came in second and actually beat Indy 4 in the US! That speaks to both how great Iron Man was and how poor an addition the latest Indiana Jones movie was to the original tril

This was not an easy task to say the least. While there are several obvious big-name titles coming out next year, there are also 765 movies planned to debut next year in total (according to Movieweb ). Narrowing that down to just ten is not the easiest of tasks especially when certain films have shared little information with us so far (wink wink nudge nudge to James Cameron’s Avata
