Emerald of Genesis is a great weapon for Danjin because of its high base stats as a 5-star. Additionally, its effect provides Energy Regen so Danjin can use her Resonance Liberation more frequently , as well as an attack buff when using her Resonance Skill, which has 100% uptime due to the skill having no coold
In this team, Danjin serves the role of the Sub-DPS, buffing Havoc Rover with her outro skill , which provides the incoming character with 23% Havoc DMG Deepen. Baizhi is here as a dedicated healer because while Danjin doesn’t necessarily need a healer, Havoc Rover does. And since players will obtain Baizhi as a healer for free, this team can be built very easily on even F2P accounts with little to no investm
Although these are more than enough buffs, Calcharo can enhance his own DMG if you trigger his Heavy ATK mercy and use Thundering Mephis Echo Skill before he Ult. Add to all that the fact that Jianxin and Verina constantly shield and heal him , giving him an excuse to be as aggressive as possi
Combat also feels snappy and responsive in Wuthering Waves , with well-made character movement a crucial element of the flow of battle. Dodges felt especially pinpoint and rewarding, and combat also features a parry system where a unit can time their attack to respond to an enemy’s vulnerability indicator during their own lunge – doing so results in damage and a stagger that can set up the next chain of a combo. The hands-on was a little too short to really go in-depth on these systems so it’s difficult to ascertain exactly how the interplay between dodging, parrying, and swapping units really flows, but what was on display felt intuitive and
Danjin is one of the strongest Havoc DPS characters in the game, and her unique playstyle means she’s always fun to use, but gets even better with the right build. Below, we’ll take a look at the best weapons, Echoes, and team members to use with Dan
Both Calcharo and Xiangli Yao are practically free characters to an extent, so it’s unfortunate for Calcharo that Xiangli Yao is much better than him. Unlike Calcharo’s unforgiving rotations and frequent interruptions, Xiangli Yao is much easier to use and more forgiv
Boss design also feels like it will be a rewarding element of Wuthering Waves . We got to try a few different difficulty levels and while the first one was fairly easy, only requiring a few well-timed dodges to set up brutally efficient combos, the very next difficulty element resulted in a team wipe after an ill-timed party member swap. It’s refreshing to have combat in this genre that feels sufficiently challenging without being completely over-the-top , and early impressions make it feel like Kuro Games has managed to strike that elusive bala
Danjin heavily relies on her Heavy Attack to heal and deal damage, so bringing along Mortefi is a great choice. Mortefi’s Outro Skill increases the next character’s Heavy Attack damage by a massive 38 perc
You either add Sanhua to maximize the DMG of their Basic ATK or Jianxin to do the same for their Ultimate. Danjin can give them a 23% Havoc DMG, but you’re going to lose a great DPS just to Outro buff Havoc Ro
While the environment and scenery are visually fairly indistinct from what we saw, they were interesting enough, with materials to gather, enemies to defeat, and puzzles to solve. We played through a brief logic puzzle that was just above the boss fight demo, and it was a Tetris block-style conundrum that was a fun distraction. Obviously, one puzzle isn’t enough to judge an entire game’s worth of open world content so it’s mostly speculation at this point, but based on other closed beta impressions/streams it **looks like the world of Wuthering Waves Missions Waves will have more than enough on offer to keep people interested in its early days
**Wuthering Waves employs a 3-unit combat system with a design focus on swapping between them at beneficial times ** during battle to maximize their synergies. It’s not ground-breaking, but the implementation is excellent – slowly building up a charge bar while using abilities and properly timing dodges allows players to then swap into a new unit that has an immediate effect upon entering the battlefield. We didn’t get a chance to really examine what those abilities are, but they seem to range from doing damage to setting up better positioning for a new skill in
Lingyang is a Glacio DPS in Wuthering Waves . He heavily relies on his Resonance Liberation and Forte Gauge to deal DMG. While his DMG is acceptable compared to other DPS in the game, he still feels way too slow when he’s in his Striding Lion state. If two enemies are standing away from each other, he needs time to reach each one of t
Additionally, although Danjin can heal herself, you’ll definitely want to have a healer like Verina or Baizhi in case of emergencies. These characters can also provide offensive support , increasing Danjin’s overall damage out
